General Conditions
RESERVATIONS
The client will send all reservations, sales situation and final numbers directly to TERRA NOVA ICELAND. A cancellation of a group must take place no later then 9 weeks prior to arrival date.
The client will send a preliminary namelist/status list for each group once a week starting 2 months prior to its arrival. Terra Nova must have received the final rooming-list 1 month prior to departure. All bookings thereafter are on request.
VOUCHERS
Vouchers will be issued by Terra Nova for all services required, clearly explaining the services to be provided.
LIABILITY
Terra Nova acts in good faith and cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage, accidents, sickness or schedule changes caused by weather or road conditions, force majeure such as natural catastrophes, strikes or any other irregularities beyond the control of Terra Nova. Luggage is at owner’s risk throughout the tour.
VALIDITY OF PRICES
Any eventual changes in rates will not be made with less than 8 weeks' notice prior to arrival. Prices are guaranteed against any surcharge after an invoice has been issued, unless the increase is due to currency changes and amounts to 5% of the package price or more. The amounts that exceed 5% will be charged and clients will be entitled to cancel their booking with a full refund if the surcharge exceeds 10%. Any increase due to changes in government laws, i.e. tax changes, will be added to the invoice.
Please note: Possible entrance fees to natural sites, or possible new nature conservation fee (“Nature passport”), are not included.
INSURANCE
Please note that individual travel insurance is not included in the tour price and all medical cost and other cost involved are paid by the client. It is therefore strongly recommended that participants acquire personal insurance.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations must be made by e-mail. If a group is cancelled with less than 9 weeks’ notice up to 1 month prior to departure, cancellation fee may apply. If an individual is cancelled with a month’s notice or less but more than 2 week’s notice, there is a 30% cancellation fee. If an individual is cancelled with 2 weeks’ notice or less but more than 1 week’s notice, there is a 50% cancellation fee. If an individual is cancelled with 1 week’s notice or less but more than 24 hours’ notice there is a 60% cancellation fee. If an individual is cancelled within 24 hours or if the participant is a no-show, the full price must be paid.
CHANGES
We reserve the right to change the hotels and programs.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
Icelandic law will completely govern all arrangements that are based on this contract, including all claims and demands for compensations. This is valid, both for the basis of the claim, and for the calculation of the amount of the compensations. The same is valid for any claims that are based upon responsibilities outside this contract.
